Helen Chatwin Solicitor

Personal Injury Department

I am a Solicitor and the Office Manager at Forster Dean’s County Road office in Liverpool. I joined the firm in December 2007, having completed my Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester and qualifying as a Solicitor in December 2006.

I joined Forster Dean as its client focused approach was just what I was looking for. Having previously worked for a firm situated on a business park that mainly dealt with clients over the phone, it was refreshing to move to a practice where all of it’s offices are on the high street, which means clients can pop in and see us whenever they want. This face to face contact and being a part of the local community enables us to build a great rapport with our clients, many of which still pop in to see us even when there case has finished.

Career highlights:
The best part about my job is telling the client that we have settled their case and handing them their cheque on completion of the claim, knowing that they are going away happy with the service that they have received. Building a good rapport with clients and ensuring I do the very best for them, is the most important aspect of my job.

When I don’t have my suit on, I…
Enjoy keeping fit (or at least trying to) and taking part in various walks, including charity events. I completed a 20 mile sponsored walk around London raising money for the NCPCC which was great.

I also like to travel and completed the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb when visiting Australia. Walking across the top arch of the Bridge was an amazing experience and highly recommended. Concerts, comedy shows and festivals are also a great love of mine. I am also a keen supporter and season ticket holder at Liverpool Football club.
